The idea of “the good life” is a concept that philosophers have discussed for centuries and that marketers have aspired to allude to with their prospects and customers for decades. At its essence the good life is the life that a person WANTS– one in which each individual has the time and the capacity to do the things that are important to him or her. The things that make them feel good. Those that enable them to feel that they have reached their “aspired to” state of being.
In order to understand your customers it is important to understand what the “good life concept” means to them and then to understand how your product or service can help them achieve or maintain a state in which they can live and experience their “good life” concept. By understanding the needs and attitudes of your customers you can get a much clearer picture of what the ” good life” is for them and your product or services “role” in their lives.
